A MEGA STRUCTURE FOR OVER 150? STAFF???

for 31000 ratepayers

You would think its a grand Auckland city but in fact its a small town of 31000 ratepayers with this huge Council building with more staff than they need. Yes the Horowhenua District Council has gone one step to make themselves an elite Council with a CEO who read emails?? & never resigned to infighting with the Mayor & councillors. Like many councils some are good while others make up new rules & enough laws to pass to make it a headache for anyone wanting to get something done. Time for new blood to get on the council as we have been told they even mum the local Chronicle over Letters to the Ed if not in good taste??? or did under the previous Mayor we are told.

CHECK LEVIN????

Levin is not a happening place---just drive thru on a Saturday/Sunday and its dead hole --well nearly as they now have a new Kentucky Fried but no shops are open apart from the inevitable takeaways and food shops, Warehouse etc???

Heres a few good things the Council has done for the ratepayers:

SO WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR SAY DON'T VOTE FOR ALL THESE SAME COUNCILLORS WHO SAY NOTHING, DO NOTHING, APART FROM ATTEND MEETING AND GET THEIR $34000 +FEE PER YEAR. OLDER COUNCILLORS who have been in need replacing as it has become an oligarchy and this Horowhenua District Council is 2nd to bottom in NZ ratings by the Leauge table analyst Larry Mitchell

Check what Larry Mitchell meeting had to say on July 7th in Levin. With Councils thinking they have evolved into Coporates with problems of their own and not being able to balance the books you guessed it they now think they are above everyone else. The ratepayers are the losers so they should be looking at voting for Anne who is for the general public and has a plan to reverse the dilemna of the Horowhenua District Council. This Council is 2nd to last on the league listings as the worst in NZ--wow?

Up to you levin but make things happen if you don't want to be another Kaipara & bail the Council out of their debt situation. Remember 2013 the low interest rates are set to rise. What about a market on a Saturday in the Mall --its dead and no wonder kids break windows in shops and are bored in this town. Apart from the skate rink what is there here??? Council rates in Palmerston North average $1829 per year. Maybe after 2019 things will get better??

WHAT NZ NEVER LEARNT WHEN IT OPENED ITS DOORS:

If the Crafer farms all 16 of them are sold to CHINA then this will be the start to the end. Why does our government allow this to happen--make them lease the land and let it stay in Kiwi hands-- try buying this amount of land 5000 hectares in China or Thailand or Asian countries???
