The 4BE1 was found in the NKR Models (150,200,250,300 & 400) & the Isuzu Elf above.

Locking Diesel Cap: Tridon TL25 approx $20 from Supercheap. Must have seal to get COF.

Grease nipples Back springs are UNF 3/8 thread. Remember brakes if you are going for a COF and one side not enough its only adjustment. Brake shoes are normally good for 300,000 kms.

WHAT IS TARE WEIGHT?

Tare weight is the weight of a vehicle or container when it is empty. Gross weight is weight of both tare & the load.Tare is an arabic name & was first used by Italy known as waste then went to France & Uk. In shipping, tare weight it is important, because it is used to determine the value of a load, and calculate taxes.

Weight of water?

Water thats easy. 1 litre = 1kg as a gram (1/1000 of kg) was the mass (or weight on earth's surface) of 1 mL (1/1000 of a L). So a litre of water has a mass of 1 kg

WHEN TO CHANGE YOUR DIESEL OIL:

When you check the dipstick its black as!! well when you put new oil in and then start stop and test oil its the same colour right? Ok when to change your oil. Suggestions every 7500kms. Changing earlier say every 1000kms is a waste of time and doesn't prolong the engine life.

WHY CHANGE THE OIL:

Engine oils accumulate contaminants (solids, acids, fuel, water, etc.) that no oil and oil filter can completely remove. Also combustion byproducts are harmful to an engine even when the engine isn't operating. This is why there is a year time limit for engines with only limited use. Oil breaks down and the bubbles created lose their go (viscosity ) hence oil loses its ability to lubricate over time and use. Continuing to use engine oil past the manufacturer's recommended change can cause a build-up of sludge as the oil breaks down and the bubbles it was in originally break apart. Replacing the oil flushes out the dirt, impurities, water and other particles that adversely affect the engine.

CHANGE OIL:

Change when hot. Do not flush as does nothing really? 'W' is the 'cold' viscosity rating of the oil, and the number after the 'W' is the 'hot' viscosity rating. So a 5W40 oil is a single grade oil when cold, but doesn't thin any more than a 40-rated single grade oil when hot. The lower the 'winter' number (hence the 'W'), the easier the engine will turn over when starting in cold climates. Mineral oil is derived from crude oil. Synthetic oil, on the other hand, is chemically produced from a resource such as naphtha. Compared to mineral oil, it contains almost no impurities and has far superior characteristics, including viscosity and resistance to extreme heat.

WHAT OIL TO USE:
